The WiNRADiO WR-3500e receiver complements the popular 3000-series by extending the operating frequency to 2.6 GHz, as well as offering additional IF bandwidths and improved AGC control. This is a high-end external receiver, intended for government, military, security, surveillance, media monitoring and industrial applications. The frequency range is 150 kHz to 2.6 GHz. (The publicly available US version excludes cellular frequencies 825-849 and 869-894 MHz).The WiNRADiO WR-3500e hardware/software package consists of the receiver unit, Windows-based software, RS-232 cable, multi-voltage power Adapter, start-up antenna and a user's manual.
Hardware
The external unit connects to an IBM PC compatible computer via a serial interface cable (PCMCIA interface Adapter is optional).The unit has its own speaker. At the rear of the unit, there are connectors for the antennas (BNC for frequencies under 1.5 GHz, SMA for higher frequencies), serial control port, PCMCIA control port, external speaker, power and a data output interface (discriminator output).The software features numerous tuning and scanning options, virtually unlimited memories and a rich on-line help facility. Support is also provided for software developers wishing to write their own applications code for WiNRADiO receivers.
